If weather and conditions permit, we’ll ascend to the 5th Station. Next, we’ll explore the Owakudani Boiling Valley, an area known for its geothermal activity. Here, you can witness steam vents, sulfurous springs, and bubbling hot springs that showcase the raw power of nature. Famous for its thousands of vibrant red torii gates, which form a mesmerizing pathway up the sacred Mount Inari, this shrine is dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of rice and prosperity. In the evening, we’ll explore Gion, Kyoto’s most famous geisha district. Stroll through the narrow, lantern-lit streets lined with traditional wooden machiya houses, many of which are now tea houses or restaurants. Also known as the Sagano Scenic Railway, this charming train ride offers a unique way to experience the natural beauty of the region. Next, visit the majestic Todai-ji Temple, home to the Great Buddha, one of the largest bronze statues of Buddha in the world. Return to Osaka to visit the historic Osaka Castle. This iconic landmark, surrounded by beautiful gardens, offers insights into Japan’s feudal past. In the evening, immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of Dotonbori, Osaka’s famous entertainment and dining district.
